In an effort to increase the value of membership, increase the connection with the college and target specific generations, the Vassar Club of New York instituted two new programs: The Rose Parlor Tea and a monthly cocktail party, Orations & Libations.
Career Programming
AAVC has teamed up with the Vassar Career Development Office (CDO) for a series of career related programs. Mary Raymond, the Director of the CDO, has prepared a brief talk on “How to Thrive Professionally During a Recession.”
On the Road Again with Alumnae/i College
Faculty and administrators travel the country to speak about their research, teachings, and life at Vassar, helping to foster the motto “Vassar for a lifetime.” The opportunity to gather in cities around the world for alumnae/i reminds a multi-generational alumnae/i body of their common bond: the experience of a Vassar education and the lifelong learning opportunities it affords them.
