VIEW: Vassar Inspiration & Education Weekend
Friday, September 19 - Saturday, September 20, 2008
This past fall, AAVC introduced a new on-campus program. Vassar Inspiration and Education Weekend (VIEW) was created as a Vassar-style homecoming for alumnae/i to come back and experience the Vassar of today.
Phoenix Rising
the new frontier of club leaders
This past year many alumnae/i have shown interest in reinvigorating the local club in their area. The Vassar Club of Phoenix has done a great job in redefining its mission and hosting several regularly scheduled events.
Wendy Pronin-Herst ’92 recently moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. In an attempt to make new friends, Wendy contacted AAVC to help her connect with fellow alumnae/i in her area. With the support of AAVC, Wendy decided to take on the task of organizing a fall mini-reunion.
Vassar In the Age of Green
The Vassar Sustainability Committee is a group on campus that aims to reduce the amount of natural resources that the college uses. This past year members from the committee have been taking their efforts on the road to talk to regional alumnae/i clubs about the environmental efforts taking place at Vassar.
