The AAVC Board of Directors manages the association's affairs and in so doing conducts an annual review of its programming, sets and reviews association policy, serves in an advisory capacity to staff, makes investment decisions for the agency funds the association holds for constituent groups, develops the association's strategic plan and supervises its executive director. Six of AAVC's directors are also Vassar College trustees and, in addition to their duties as trustees, represent the interests of the association and its 36,000 members to the college, when applicable and necessary. Each board member has a discrete portfolio as well, see position descriptions.
All members of the alumnae/i community are invited to nominate themselves or another alumna/us for board service. Select the "Nominate Alumna/us" link in the left margin to learn more.
